It moves along the axon, it jumps between the nodes instead of traveling straight along the axon, this is because it is quicker. It goes along the axon terminals and reaches the synapse. A synapse is a gap between two neurons. It is filled with a chemical called neurotransmitter, which allows the signal to cross the synapse to the next neuron. The process then starts again.
